Lisa Holtzman, MPH



Lisa Holtzman recently joined CBSSM in 2010. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies from Smith College in Northampton, MA and a 5-College Certificate in Culture, Health and Science from University of Massachusetts and Smith, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke, and Amherst Colleges. Lisa came to Ann Arbor to pursue a graduate degree, and in May 2008, she received her Master's of Public Health in Health Behavior, Health Education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.

Before joining CBSSM, Lisa worked at the Michigan Department of Community Health where she provided technical assistance, trainings, tools, and resources in an effort to build capacity among local health department staff as they implemented policy and environmental change projects related to physical activity, nutrition and tobacco use in Michigan communities. Lisa is excited to explore, learn, expand, and contribute to the research being carried out at CBSSM.

In her free time, Lisa enjoys being physically active, trying new restaurants, cooking, going to the library, and reading. If she had even more time and money, she would also enjoy traveling to exotic and fun places!
